Sealed BIDS for the construction of a Wastewater System Improvements (2024 CDBG Project No. 1138-24-275-PF- 01/1102-24-275-PF-02) will be received by the Town of New Augusta, herein called the “OWNER”, at the office of New Augusta Town Hall, located at 102 Second Street East (P.O. Box 401), New Augusta, Mississippi 39462, until 10:00 a.m., Local Time, on Tuesday, October 7th , 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.

All Proposals shall be submitted on Bid Forms provided with the specifications. Bids may be submitted in person, or for those interested, bids can be electronically submitted at www.clearpointbids.com under the project page. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered.
Bids will be received only from experienced contractors who have completed similar projects as described in these contract documents. A letter shall accompany his bid listing five successfully completed projects of this type. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid.
Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, as amended, and its associated regulations (24 CFR Part 75). CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be extended to Section 3 businesses, Targeted Section 3 Workers and Section 3 Workers.
The successful bidder must comply with the Build America, Buy America Act enacted as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Pub. L. 117-58 and 2 CFR 184
